For many years, China and Africa have cultivated strong partnerships in infrastructure, energy and power, information and communications technology, and industrial development—setting a positive example of collaboration among nations in the Global South. Building on its technological innovation and high-quality NEV products, China’s automotive industry has earned trust across African markets and is now actively supporting the development of localized supply chains to better serve the continent’s growing needs.
In the context of an evolving global landscape of industrial cooperation and competition, Chinese and African governments and enterprises alike are increasingly focused on three shared questions: What is the policy environment and growth potential of the African market? How can automotive companies build long-term local presence in Africa? And how can innovative approaches—such as the integration of solar power, vehicles, charging, and energy storage—effectively meet Africa’s needs for vehicle adoption and a sustainable transition to green transportation?

In response, the “Automotive Supply Chain Globalization Salon: Africa Focus” will take place on the afternoon of Wednesday, November 19, in Beijing. Co-hosted by China EV100 and Zhongguancun Science City Ltd., and organized by the Going Global Super Platform (G100), the event will bring together government leaders, industry experts, and enterprise representatives for meaningful dialogue, resource alignment, and collaborative advancement—centered on identifying practical pathways and shared strategies for China-Africa cooperation in the intelligent automotive industry chain.
