On March 22, Zhang Yongwei, Chairman of China EV100 and his delegation visited Chery. The two sides held in-depth exchanges on the automotive industry’s development trend during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, international cooperation and industrial ecological construction. Shi Jianhua, Vice Chairman of China EV100 and Dean of EV100 Think, and other members joined the visit. Yin Tongyue, Chairman of Chery, Zhang Guozhong, Executive Vice President, Wang Lang, Vice President, and heads of the company’s various business units warmly received the delegation.

Zhang Yongwei learned about Chery’s recent development, congratulated the company on its remarkable achievements in domestic and overseas markets, and affirmed its forward-looking efforts in product layout, overseas market expansion and intelligent development.

At the exchange, Zhang Yongwei pointed out that 2026 is the first year of the 15th Five-Year Plan and a key juncture for China’s automotive industry to enter an adjustment. At this phase, driving the industry’s high-quality, sustainable and healthy growth has become a core concern for the entire sector. Going forward, China EV100 hopes to conduct in-depth exchanges and cooperation with Chery on key industrial topics and initiatives, including NEV global expansion strategies, optimization of industry competition order, cultivation of world-class enterprises, and development of cutting-edge technologies such as intelligence, AI, embodied robots and eVTOL.

Yin Tongyue warmly welcomed Chairman Zhang and his delegation and fully affirmed the China EV100’s positive role in advancing the high-quality development of China’s NEV industry. Combining Chery’s operational practices, he shared the company’s explorations in global layout, technological innovation and brand building. He noted that against the backdrop of intensified domestic market competition and a complex, volatile external environment, the industry urgently needs to enhance collaboration with high-level think tanks to jointly assess development trends and tackle challenges.

During the exchange, Shi Jianhua introduced the Institute’s recent progress in industrial policy research, market trend analysis and industrial resource integration, and shared forward-looking insights and policy recommendations on key issues of the 15th Five-Year Plan.
The two sides reached a consensus to further deepen cooperation, jointly explore industrial research, policy communication, international expansion and brand building, and contribute to China’s automotive industry moving towards world-class standards.
