On February 27, Zhang Yongwei, Chairman of China EV100 and President of GREEM, together with Shi Jianhua, Vice Chairman of China EV100 and Dean of EV100 Plus, led a delegation to visit Aptiv Shanghai. The delegation was warmly received by senior executives, including Shen Guoliang, General Manager of Connection Systems for Asia-Pacific Region, and Dr. Li Huibin, Engineering Director of Connection Systems for Asia-Pacific Region. The executives accompanied the delegation on a tour and detailed the plant’s operations and technological innovation efforts.

During the tour, Zhang Yongwei and his team visited the production lines, intelligent warehousing facilities and R&D exhibition zones, learning about the company’s R&D and manufacturing of core products including automotive connections, central electrical systems and high-voltage and high-speed connection solutions. They also learned about Aptiv’s achievements in smart manufacturing, quality control system and green low-carbon development. Shen Guoliang and Dr. Li Huibin highlighted Aptiv’s core technological philosophy of safety, green and connectivity, as well as the plant’s leading practices in automation, digitalization and lean management, plus its relevant industry awards and recognitions.

The two sides held in-depth exchanges on key topics such as the development trends of the NEV and intelligent connected vehicle industry, technological breakthroughs in core auto parts, the stability and security of industrial and supply chains, and the coordinated development of globalization and localization. Zhang Yongwei spoke highly of Aptiv’s technical expertise in automotive electrics and connection systems, its advanced smart manufacturing capabilities and its fruitful results in localized development. He expected Aptiv to continue leveraging its strengths as a leading auto parts enterprise, strengthen cooperation with industry think tanks, automakers and industrial chain partners, and jointly drive the high-quality development and global layout of China’s automotive industry.
