Zhang Yongwei noted that the automotive industry is undergoing a new round of in-depth transformation, with its technologies, industrial structure, market pattern and international competition landscape being reshaped at an accelerated pace. Internationalization has become an inevitable path for the industry’s high-quality development. As a third-party think tank focused on new energy and intelligent vehicles, GREEM will, under the guidance of relevant organizations and relying on G100, provide comprehensive and in-depth services for Chinese automotive enterprises going global. He stressed that Shanghai holds a crucial strategic position in the internationalization of China’s automotive industry, and the development approach of “Starting from Shanghai, Expanding Overseas, Going Global” has become an industry consensus. GREEM is willing to strengthen collaboration with Shanghai International Automobile City to jointly develop a Shanghai solution for the automotive industry’s overseas expansion and work hand in hand to advance the global development of China’s automotive industry.

Chen Gang expressed that as a window for the opening-up of China’s automotive industry, Shanghai enjoys distinct advantages in industrial agglomeration, technological innovation and international connectivity. Shanghai International Automobile City is ready to deepen cooperation with GREEM and jointly build a global exchange platform for the automotive industry and an efficient communication bridge linking the government, academia, industry and international organizations. He added that the two sides will actively promote brand events such as high-level international forums and industrial matching activates, facilitate the connectivity of automotive industry resources at home and abroad, support China’s automotive industry in achieving higher-quality development in the era of Globalization 2.0, and continuously boost its competitiveness and influence in the global market.

The two sides reached a unanimous consensus that GREEM’s professional strengths in industrial research and global resource connectivity are highly aligned with Shanghai International Automobile City’s resource advantages in industrial carriers, scenario implementation and international services. Taking this exchange as an opportunity, we will establish a regular cooperation mechanism, promote the integration of advantageous resources, drive the overseas expansion of technologies, brands and models, and jointly build a high-level global exchange and cooperation platform.
