Eldor Group Visits GREEM: Building a China-Europe Automotive Supply Chain Channel
News     2026 / 02 / 10

On February 2, 2026, Zhang Yongwei, GREEM president, held high-level conference with Luca Forte, Vice President of Eldor Group—a leading provider of powertrain and electrification solutions. The two sides exchanged views on China-Europe automotive collaboration and agreed to establish a framework linking Chinese automakers with European suppliers.

The global auto industry is undergoing profound transformation. As Chinese OEMs accelerate their European expansion, they face strict local rules, high technical and environmental standards, and the challenge of building compliant localization from scratch—costly in time, capital, and operational efficiency. Moreover, they lack streamlined access to high-quality European supply chain resources. In this context, Mr. Forte highlighted Italy’s strategic advantages: a mature supplier ecosystem, deep expertise in both electrification and powertrains, strong R&D capacity, and significant underutilized production capacity. These make Italy an ideal partner for Chinese automakers seeking efficient, compliant European localization.

Both sides affirmed the importance of deeper China-Europe collaboration. For Chinese OEMs, it helps meet local requirements, avoid tariffs, and reduce risks in supply chain. For Europe, it activates idle capacity and enables precise matching of industrial strengths, creating win-win results. Discussions also covered integrating this cooperation into the China-Europe industrial dialogue mechanism and engaging leading automakers from both sides.

Moving forward, GREEM and Eldor will accelerate communication and engagement, and speed up the implementation of China-Europe automotive industry collaboration. We will support Chinese OEMs’ European market entry while aligning European supply chain with China’s industrial needs and jointly shape a new era of mutually beneficial automotive partnership.
