On November 27, 2025, the NEV Industry Exchange Event, co-hosted by GREEM and China EV100, took place in Rabat, Morocco. The delegation held in-depth discussions with AMDIE and the Rabat Investment Center (RIC) and visited the Ain Johra Free Trade Zone. These engagements strengthened connections with local NEV resources and advanced practical China-Morocco industrial collaboration.

During the discussion with AMDIE, Maria Ouazzani Chahdi, Head of the Automotive and Industry Department, highlighted Morocco’s strategic location linking European, American, and African markets. She introduced the country’s NEV industry blueprint, full-chain ecosystem, key industrial park layout, and incentives for foreign enterprises. To address delegation concerns, both sides exchanged views on raw material sourcing, export rules, and suppliers matching. At the strategic level, GREEM and AMDIE agreed to advance cooperation through high-level visits, co-hosted brand events, building platforms, and targeted supply chain matching.

During the discussion with the RIC, Ms. Hind Saidi and Mr. Idriss Addahbi presented key aspects of the region’s automotive industry ecosystem, including industrial layout, land cost, subsidy policies, approval processes, and one-stop services. They addressed delegation enterprises’ questions on policy eligibility under Morocco’s Investment Charter, engineering labor costs, government training programs, and subsidy funds. The RIC expressed strong interest in deepening cooperation and plans to co-host an automotive industry exchange event with GREEM in 2026 to enable targeted B2B matching and strengthen supply chain collaboration between Chinese investors and local Moroccan suppliers.

During the on-site inspection of the Ain Johra Free Trade Zone, Mr. Mhamed Ben Mokhtar provided a comprehensive overview of the park’s location advantages, operation model, enterprise setup costs (including land, labor, utilities), and the industry distribution and performance of existing enterprises. The park team led the delegation on a site tour of the Phase I plot and addressed key enterprise concerns, including land acquisition procedures and service coverage.

Going forward, GREEM will leverage its platform advantages to establish a long-term government-enterprise-park coordination hub with Moroccan authorities and key industrial parks. It will continue aggregating industry information and matching high-quality resources, creating an efficient bridge for Chinese NEV enterprises to enter Morocco and access the African market, and advancing China-Morocco NEV cooperation to a new stage.
