Zhang Yongwei, Chairman of China EV100 and Executive Chairman of GREEM, led a delegation to visit iMotion, where he held in-depth discussions with Song Yang, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of iMotion, and the founding team on advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), embodied intelligence, and China’s supply chain globalization. The group also toured the company’s latest technological innovations and smart manufacturing facility.

The 15th Five-Year Plan outlines the high-quality transformation of China’s automotive industry around three directions: intelligence, green development, and integration. During the visit, Chairman Zhang viewed iMotion’s self-developed autonomous charging robots, which leverage the software and hardware technology stack of autonomous driving domain controllers for fast, low-cost deployment. The company also showcased its newly operational high-computing-power domain controller production line. With a high degree of automation, the production line has an annual capacity of 1 million units and supports flexible production of varying computing power products, effectively meeting diverse customer demands.

After the visit, Zhang stated that China benefits from a highly concentrated, fast-cycling “research-product-industry” ecosystem. Technology, products, supply chains, and markets form a self-reinforcing cycle, driving competitive advantages in mature industries and enabling large-scale deployment in emerging sectors. For innovative tech enterprises like iMotion, entering the embodied intelligence field via the automotive sector has overcome cross-sector implementation challenges. At the same time, robots expand autonomous driving applications and open new development paths, which marks a typical case of growth in integration-driven intelligent industry.

Zhang also emphasized that as founding president unit of the Suzhou Automotive Electronics and Components Industry Chamber of Commerce, iMotion is based in Suzhou—a major hub for innovative technology and advanced manufacturing. He encouraged the company to strengthen industry and enterprise collaboration, increase its contribution to the integration-driven intelligent industry, and fully leverage Suzhou’s supply chain strengths to advance to the next development stage.

In the discussion, Song Yang noted that autonomous driving, intelligent vehicles, and the embodied intelligence industry share a common technology, interconnected supply chains, and complementary application scenarios. After nearly a decade of development, the autonomous driving sector is nearing maturity. Against this backdrop, iMotion has built an integrated software-hardware stack covering data, algorithms, software, core controllers, and intelligent integrated joints, creating a closed-loop system with rapid feedback and fast iteration. This enables the company to maintain a competitive edge in autonomous driving, pursue industry leadership, and quickly meet diverse customer demands in the small-volume, high-variability embodied intelligence market—supporting broader technological trends and large-scale industrial growth.

Song Yang fully endorsed Chairman Zhang’s views. Currently, iMotion’s ADAS solutions offer industry-leading parking capabilities, and its driving products are expected to match the performance of leading competitors by 2026. In the embodied intelligence sector, the company’s main controllers and customized robotic arms have secured multiple customer orders, with partial deliveries already completed. Going forward, iMotion will strengthen collaboration with industry organizations such as China EV100, help enrich the ecosystem of the Suzhou Automotive Electronics and Components Industry Chamber of Commerce, and contribute to increasing Suzhou’s role in the integration-driven intelligent industry.

Deep participation in industrial ecosystem development is a core strategy for iMotion. The exchange with China EV100 enabled the company to better understand policy directions and industry trends. At the same time, iMotion’s frontline insights into technology, industry, and markets provide valuable input for China EV100 in writing industrial reports.
