Experts stressed that the two countries will jointly leverage their complementary strengths to drive the EV industry forward, conduct all-round cooperation in strategic design, institutional frameworks construction, and ecosystem building, and draw on their respective experiences and resources to promote the global growth of NEVs.

On December 18, a high-level seminar was held to continue the discussions. Representatives from government agencies and industrial parks, including the Malaysia Investment Development Authority (MIDA), MyZEVA, Collaborative Research in Engineering, Science and Technology (CREST), East Coast Economic Region (ECER), and Sabah Investment Bureau, presented Malaysia’s national NEV strategies, its international cooperation landscape, as well as the proposed directions and pathways for bilateral cooperation. This dialogue drew strong interest from Chinese enterprises, experts and other participants present.
