On December 17, 2025, Liu Xiaoshi, Director of GREEM and Vice Chairman of the China EV100, led a delegation to conduct in-depth research at GAC Malaysia. The visit focused on three core issues: product localization, global brand building, and electrification, aiming to explore innovative pathways for Chinese automakers to expand in overseas markets.

During the research, GAC representatives stated that the company is advancing the KD model through close collaboration with local partners, integrating into the local industrial chain to enhance product competitiveness. Meanwhile, GAC has implemented the “One GAC” strategy in Malaysia to strengthen brand recognition and expand market presence. In a market dominated by fuel vehicles, GAC is adopting a “fuel-electric synergy” strategy, gradually introducing hybrid and electric models to prepare for future electrification. The team also proposed strengthening coordination between local automakers and China’s industrial chain, leveraging ASEAN’s right-hand drive market advantage to promote regional production capacity.
As key platforms linking industry resources and international markets, GREEM and China EV100 will continue to serve as bridges, integrating high-quality technology, standards, and capital. We will provide comprehensive support for GAC and other Chinese automakers to strengthen their global presence, enabling the Chinese automotive industry to expand overseas with high-quality products and services and showcase the strength of China’s smart manufacturing.
