GREEM, China EV100, and Member Enterprises Visit STMicroelectronics and Marelli

On the morning of November 25, Zhang Yongwei, Executive Chairman of GREEM and Chairman of China EV100, led a delegation to visit STMicroelectronics’ Agrate plant in Italy and Marelli’s headquarters. The group included Johannes Wieland, former President and CEO of BMW China, along with representatives from San’an Optoelectronics, Huayou Cobalt, and the GREEM staffs.

The CEO and R&D director of STMicroelectronics’ Agrate plant warmly welcomed the delegation, providing a detailed introduction to the company’s global operations, products, and production processes. They exchanged insights on chip innovation and global expansion strategies.

The GREEM delegation then visited Marelli in Italy, where they were warmly received by the company’s President and senior executives. Pasquale Barilla, Senior Vice President, and Francesco Tiberio, Vice President, presented the company’s current development, while R&D leaders explained its safety technologies and production processes. The delegation toured Marelli’s production facilities.

During the roundtable discussion, the GREEM delegation and Marelli’s management exchanged views on cooperation pathways for the China-Italy NEV industry. Going forward, GREEM and China EV100 will work with Italian partners to establish a China-Italy automotive industry cooperation platform that will promote collaboration between Italy’s advanced auto parts companies and Chinese OEMs and suppliers, supporting the transformation of Italian manufacturers and the globalization of Chinese automotive enterprises.
