They explored trends in vehicle electrification—such as batteries and powertrains—and intelligence—including autonomous driving, connectivity, and AI—and discussed how to advance next-generation vehicles toward greater efficiency, sustainability, and low-carbon development.
2. Building a Modern Service System for NEVs. Peng Peng (VP, Huawei Intelligent Charging Business), Fu You (GM, Huawei Cloud Italy), Zhou Jianxiang (CTO, Cheche Technology), Betul Carkaci (OM, Huayou Cobalt EU), Giovanni Paolo (Key Partner, Reply Consulting), and Alberto Moro (CEO, BITRON) participated in the discussion. They focused on China-Italy cooperation in automotive electrification, intelligence, infrastructure development, and ecosystem building, and on leveraging respective strengths and resources to enhance industrial chain collaboration.
3. Automotive Enterprises Sharing Localization Experience. Italian enterprise representatives Luca Forte (Vice President, Eldor Group), Paolo Pozzi (CEO, A. Agrati), Alberto Bianchi (CEO, ASK Industries), and Corrado La Forgia (GM, VHIT) shared their experiences in local development in China, based on years of operations.
Zhang Yongwei and Marco Stella (Chairman, ANFIA Components Division) delivered closing remarks to summarize the forum.
The China-Italy Automotive Industry Forum established a platform for policy alignment, technical exchange, and industrial cooperation between the two countries’ automotive sectors. Participants analyzed policy directions and development trends in China-Italy NEV industries and held in-depth discussions on key topics including electrification and intelligence, service system development, and localization. The event enabled full-chain dialogue—from core components to OEMs and from R&D to ecosystem building.
China’s strengths in NEV OEMs, battery capacity, and market scale complement Italy’s capabilities in high-end manufacturing, design innovation, and precision components, creating a strong foundation for bilateral industrial synergy. Meanwhile, diverse exchanges—such as sharing cutting-edge autonomous driving technologies and localization experiences—have emerged as key areas for future cooperation.
Going forward, building on this forum as a starting point, GREEM and China EV100 will collaborate with Italian partners including ANFIA and Eldor Group to establish a platform for exchange and cooperation among Chinese and Italian automotive, supply chain, and ecosystem service enterprises. We will conduct research, discussions, and resources matching to translate the forum’s consensus into concrete outcomes and advance deeper China-Italy automotive industry collaboration.
