On June 4, 2026, CEO of China EV100, Mr. Liu Xiaoshi, met with H.E. Máté Pesti, Ambassador of Hungary to China, in Beijing. The two sides held in-depth discussions on the current state and future direction of China-Hungary cooperation in the new energy vehicle (NEV) industry.
Mr. Liu briefed the Ambassador on the overall development trajectory of China's NEV industry, its global expansion strategy, and the latest regulatory developments concerning export quality oversight. The Ambassador shared an overview of Hungary's investment environment for the NEV industry and the prospects for bilateral collaboration. In recent years, Chinese investment in Hungary's automotive sector has continued to grow, with the largest share of China's automotive and battery sector investments in Europe being channeled into Hungary. The Ambassador underscored that Hungary's policy of cooperation with China enjoys cross-party consensus, ensuring continuity and predictability regardless of changes in government, and offering a stable and predictable policy environment for long-term Chinese investment.
Both sides agreed to maintain close communication and further explore opportunities for cooperation in the NEV industry between China and Hungary. China EV100 will continue to leverage its role as an international platform and bridge, providing Chinese NEV industry chain enterprises with comprehensive support including policy liaison, industry delegation visits, and localization services, helping enterprises navigate the Hungarian and broader European market with greater ease and effectiveness.
